@LWB250 Hi Dan, How would your rate the AC in your '95 E420? Does it handle the heat in Tampa fine?

Absolutely. Properly charged, the system makes ice cubes here on the hottest days.

I had to replace the compressor on the car right after I got it because the clutch failed. With a new Denso compressor and the proper charge of refrigerant it has no problem keeping up and producing >50F vent temperatures on 95F days.

Actually, I am the new owner! Car is in very decent shape. Its got new plugs, wires caps rotors, thermostat, coolant temp sensors but still chasing a slight idling miss--I have narrowed it down to either the coils or MAF.

Next order of business:
Tightening up the boat-like suspension with springs, shocks, beefy swaybars... you know, the never ending project.

Welcome! Just FYI - when you replaced the caps and rotors, did you replace the insulators behind them too? If the insulators are very old, it would be advisable to do so. Cheers.

Noted. I did pull the insulators and clean them but I'll give it a shot and order a set because the equipment that was on there was old. The rotors were discolored and the cap shot.

Congrats, and welcome!

New plugs doesn't mean correct plugs. Are they non-resistor Bosch F8DC4, or equivalent? If, not replace them. Either way, set the gap to 1.0-1.1mm, not 0.8mm.

If it's a SLIGHT idle miss, the wider plug gap may cure it. Anything more than slight, it's something else in secondary ignition, and new coils would be a good idea proactively. The MAF will not cause a slight misfire, a bad MAF has lots of interesting symptoms that are generally much worse.

That is going to be a challenge, as some of the item you want are NLA from MB, and not available aftermarket... particularly the 500E rear sway bar. Otherwise you can convert to factory Sportline suspension as @a777fan is doing. It's not cheap though. With 200k+ you may find that replacing tired rubber suspension components may help, i.e. the rear subframe mounts, possibly the rear links, etc as @kiev did on his 400E recently.
