Looks nice overall. This is a stripper with no options. On the plus side, the factory radio is still present so the wiring should be unmolested. It isn't clear if the 500E differential (2.82 gears) is installed, or if the seller just "has" this as well.

But I'm not sure about the attention to details (pic below). Is that a DOT decal on the passenger fender, indicating a replacement fender?

Also, the 8000rpm tach faceplate is from a 6-cyl car. But 6-cyl tachs do not work with V8 engines (unless perhaps an electronic conversion box is used, which I seriously doubt is present here). If it's a V8 tach mechanism with 8k faceplate, the tach will not read accurately. Asking price is high . For a few grand more you could have had a real 500E in a rare color combo with 20kmi more on the odo (click here - sold 2 days ago for $29k).

As a bonus, the faceplate is wrong also... it's from a 6-cyl car, which has 2 resulting errors. First, the indicated shift points are incorrect (with 2.82 diff, they should be close to 500E shift points, but not the same due to different tire size). And second, the mechanical speedo faceplate has the odo window ~2mm lower vs the electronic speedometer, so the top of the odometer numbers are "cut off" and there is extra space below the odo numbers. Should have obtained a proper faceplate (or, adhesive overlay) for 500E electronic speedo.
