Which other year and models share the same transmission as the 500e and e500's? Do the r129 and s-class 500 serioes cars use the same transmission as the 500e's? Explaination? Thanks

The early 500SEL/S500 uses the identical transmission. The 93-95 500SL/SL500 doesn't have the identical trans, but it's close enough that it would work fine.

Does your 500E have transmission problems....?

:duck:

No problems what so ever. It was more of a refrence related question. I have heard of people replacing their trannies with sl trannies. Just wondering if those sl trannies can be modified with fgs valve bodies too, et. Heck my tranny is read to go race szvook on race day and give him a run for his money.

I replaced the 722.365 with a 722.370 in my second car. I do not know the differences between the two but am happy with it.

A 1991 tranny from an S500 W140 is the same as my 1992 W124 500E tranny.
