I've been checking the p/nos of the modules in my CAN - mainly with a view to swopping the EGAS and ASR modules with some spares I have, in my quest to solve my ASR/Limp Mode problems.
In doing so, I noted that the Base Module p/no: is 014 545 36 32. From this site's WIKI, it appears not to be compatible with a 500E? I do have 011 545 97 32 which I can swop in.
Can anyone confirm that 014 545 36 32 is not compatible?
If it is incompatible, could it be contributing to the ASR/limp mode I'm experiencing?
The other problem I have is, when trying to remove the module, it would only raise about 1-1 1/2 inches - as the 'female receiver' in the bottom of the CAN box into which the male electrical contacts on the module slot, tried to come out with it - but of course only came so far as it was held back by all the wires connected beneath it! Anyone got any suggestions how I might get the module detached from the "female" base? I obviously don't want to use brute force for fear of damaging any cables.
