Hi had to borrow the title, jus spotted this,,
Preis: 22.900 EUR Verhandlungsbasis Kilometerstand: 77.000 km Leistung: 279 kW / 379 PS Kraftstoffart: Benzin Umweltplakette: 4 (Gr?n) Erstzulassung: 12/1996

Carlsson C56 Absolutes Einzelst?ck der Fa.Carlsson Autotechnik. Weltweit nur 1 st?ck gebaut. IAA Fahrzeug von 1995 auf Basis C180 .Absolute Vollausstattung. Motor,Getriebe,Achsen,Bremsen der Fa. Carlsson. 2 Farbige Vollederaust., incl. Dachhimmel,Hutablage,Armaturenbrett. Recaro Sitze. 3-tlg. Carlsson 3/6 in 8,5 und 10x18 . Fahrzeug ist aus 1. Hand und in einem super Zst. 5,6 ltr. V8 560Nm.

Athough just a C class and a C180 for that matter but a one off M119 5.6 loaded gun.
I think it clearly shows what could also be done to the big brother 124 036.

The figures also tell the story it's awarding to throw the 5.6 crank into the block !? Roger

In USA specs, the claimed power ratings translate to:

374 hp (SAE)
413 lb-ft torque

Not bad, but not as much power increase as I'd like to see given the cost & complexity of the upgrade. I'm already getting approx 340hp and 375 lb-ft from my 5.0 engine. The numbers they mention above are directly proportional to the displacement increase compared to what I've got now. Interesting car, that's one 202 chassis I wouldn't mind owning. I wonder if it's got LH injection... seems that it could, since there are distributor covers present.

Dave, late coming reply, I can not let this convertion go without wondering, how did they do it?
Was it with new pistons w altered wristpin height ( as in the E60) or with custom made shorter rods.
Cams, porting, compression etc. I do by now have a 5.6 crank on the shelf.

About the power output, almost E60 territory we must assume that being TUV approved built by
an approved tuner Carlsson, it surely isn't over rated and that also unofficially goes for the E60
engine, the torque rated 560nm only 20nm short of the E60 and (10nm more than the E55) show
what the stroker crank does. I really would like to do this to the 5liter I have aside for rest. Roger
