Emissions test results - 1994 E500

Had my E500 emissions tested here in TX today.

Here are my cumulative results for the time I've had the car.

Note: In Oregon, you only need to have the car emissions-tested every other year. In Texas, emission testing is annual.

OREGON
12/10/2003 - 73,000 miles
Standard: HC PPM MAX: 220 (my car tested 3PPM at both idle and 2500 RPM)
Standard: CO % MAX: 1.00 (my car tested 0.00% at idle, 0.01% at 2500 RPM)
Standard: CO+CO2 % MIN: 6.00 (my car tested 15.2% at both idle and 2500 RPM)


OREGON
1/21/2006 - 88,000 miles
Standard: HC PPM MAX: 220 (my car tested 0PPM at idle and 21PPM at 2500 RPM)
Standard: CO % MAX: 1.00 (my car tested 0.00% at idle, 0.07% at 2500 RPM)
Standard: CO+CO2 % MIN: 6.00 (my car tested 14.8% at idle and 14.9% at 2500 RPM)


OREGON
1/12/2008 - 97,000 miles
Standard: HC PPM MAX: 220 (my car tested 19PPM at idle)
Standard: CO % MAX: 1.00 (my car tested 0.01% at idle)
Standard: CO+CO2 % MIN: 6.00 (my car tested 15.5% at idle)


TEXAS
11/4/2008 - 101,570 miles
Standard: HC PPM MAX: 220 (my car tested 1PPM at both idle and 2500 RPM)
Standard: CO % MAX: 1.20 (my car tested 0.00% at both idle and 2500 RPM)

Gerry, you really need to take your car out for a spin more often!

I don't really know what this all means, except that you're way in the clear. Do these figures mean your engine is "as new" and possibly cleaner than some new(er) cars?

LOL -- you're right. Well I've put more than 45K miles on my E500 in the 8+ years I've owned it, so that's not too bad. Plus I've drag raced it, etc.

But over the past couple of years, I've been driving my 560SEC much more than the E500.

Posting the results doesn't really mean anything, except as a point of comparison for anyone else who posts their emissions test results (and a few folks have in the past).
