ETA cable slice

I was inspecting my ETA and found a slice across the cable. It is a newer unit so it must have been damaged when I installed it. Upon peeling back the insulation I found 3 wires are affected. Two are partially cut, insulation only, the third (tan) was cut across and ends are separated. I pulled out the solder gun, but upon closer inspection it looks like an optical cable?

Where to go from here?

TIA
Lee

Are you sure the tan one isn't just a tracer wire or something? Does the car still run OK, are any fault codes showing?

It may be a tracer, although I was not aware of they existed. There is another matching, tan flexible wire in the loom. I'll inspect more and see how many wires there are in the cable and how many conductors are on the connector.

Thanks for that idea.
