Michel,

So you are sanding down to bare wood? Then applying new stain? Then coating with urethane? Then polishing? Or are you simply re-doing the clear coat top layer?

Ricardo

Depens on the state of the panel some are in top condition and will get a new top lair other need more treatmend.

Yesterday a had an ultimate battle with a E92 335i, in The Hague.

From the traffic light we went straight on till 150km/u mirror to mirror the we must hit the brakes. Peaple down the road where completely surpriced and overwelmed by the sound.

The E92 driver called it an equal at the next stop en so it was.

Hm...don´t you have to be faster? 306 hp vs. 381....

I should meet with that 335.

Currently running 400HP with 7 speed Auto. 0-100 in 5.1/5.2sec.

I think with the modern technique against the "old school" W124 and the weght difference of 100+ kg its normal dont forget the dubble clutch shift etc

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/2772/BMW-E92-335i-Coupe.html

ps a lotus elise has only 170 Bhp and would have the same 0-100 time or even faster.
Sure, but you have much more HP to kill the bimmer. I was once fighting vs. brand new 350 CLS- even till 200 kmh, than i was pulling away, slow, but i was quicker to 250....
PS Isn´t it a bit expensive to do it in Haag? =)

As of 150 I will surely be quicker but de 335i is way faster then a cls 350.

Awesome! Odd, though, that the speedo looks Euro-style, but the warning lights look US style (check-engine, BRAKE). Also, can you actually connect that check engine light, or is it a dummy?

Oh, and I expect to see some kind of 0-300 acceleration youtube movie, soon! :)

[edit] I just noticed that the little markings for max speed @ certain gears are at different locations. Do you also change the gear ratios?

Next I am going to look at a blue limited edition, monday i will recieve the first foto's.

Its from 1995, I am realy curious about this one. It was owned by a owner of a MB dealer in the Netherlands he past away in januari.

69.000 km on it and AMG suspention

Sounds nice .... and EXPENSIVE. Hopefully the marijuana in NL isn't as potent as the sellers smoke in Germany (EUR 49K)....

I assume you mean a Sapphire Black Limited...? The Limiteds were only available in Sapphire Black (009) and Brilliant Silver (744). The Sapphire Black does have a blue hue to it though. Awesome color, real shame that MB did not import any .036's to the USA in that color. We only got 199 and 040 here in the 'States for the E500E. Oddly, MB did sell .034's in the USA in 009... go figure.

@036

What would this one cost and why isn't it for sale in public?

Can´t give you now a precise answer. I don´t want to speculate.
If you are interested i´ll have to contact the owner, to give you more info, cause pics are year or two old.
He was never in a hurry about to sale this car. Why- i never asked. Price was round about 35K. As far as i remember- dutch registration.

PS Now watching those pics again- i think it´s Japan reimport, but already couple of years ago. Front number plate brought me to this thought.

Some pictures taken

Hehe, what a beast! I thought you were going to drill holes in the panels under the headlights, as well?

michel let me know if you're going for a test-drive in Germany. I want to (TRY!) and keep up with you and film you. That acceleration is insane!

I found some other Videos on Michels Youtube account, hope you don't mind posting them ^^
Is your speedometer adjusted and what rear axle-ratio do you use currently?

This is crazy!!! It accelerates as good as a 500HP 55AMG! Wow!

I remember this car! Why have you removed that wonderful video on Youtube when you accelerate in that small street, was such a beautiful sound! You should upload it again ;)

It was when the car still had the chinese lights

You mean this one with the stock engine

No - the other one, where the car looked exactly like that. But it was in a narrow street, I think you stepped into the car, camera went behind the car, you revved, and then drove away. Just beautiful sound!

I had it saved somewhere but when I looked up the link it said you deleted it!

Its the part just prior to the video above. You were standing in a small side-street and the car was idleing. You ran around it with your camera, going to the back at the 4 end-pipes and IIRC someone drives away. Then the part from the Video above comes.

We have à problem with the car, we need to revice THE cilinderheads

Costs will be beween the 4 and 5 thousend euro

Google translate

the last month we heard a tap in the engine of a flat tappet, now we want to do it right and the plungers, seals and guides all equal renewed

That was pity after all the efforts you've put in the car. A flat tappet noise, can it be a stuck valve or a bad valve lifter?

Gonna start on monday, onze day to take it all of, then rebuilding the cilinderheads with all new parts.
We are replacing THE waterpump also.

Should have done it when we adjusted the enige.
Never to old to learn.

After one day work, the result is that we need to replace all chain conductors. Therefore we need to take off the front of the engine.
We replace all hoses, rotors, distruButers, sieve, gaskets etc etc (today to the dealer for 800 euro's small materials)
Tomorrow the parts for the cilinderheads wil arrive
