If you are not too particular, you can use Astral Silver (MB OE color) to spray paint your wheels.
I only ride these rims in winter. Therefore, the approach to them is not very pedantic). I just want something close to the original. found information on the paint code: 9705, 9735 can be used for repairs.

The mesh was purchased a long time ago. When replacing the "beard" it's time to install it.

Even when removing the mesh kit from the Mercedes w211, I measured the location of the mesh mounts and sketched a diagram on a piece of paper, then using it as a pattern. According to the marked dimensions, I made holes with an awl and inserted fasteners.

The winter is coming. As long as the work is on. And you want something. So I ordered the front fender lockers. Motor protection is worth it, and the fender liner will safely hide access from the inside to the bumper and foglights in the bumper.

It remains to make brackets, buy a couple of bolts and clips.

And, maybe someone has an idea what to come up with floor extended fenders, how best to install these fender liner.

I wondered the pain of the candle cover for my motor.

The catalog offers two options, one of which was discontinued.

In Europe, I found the original ones at a price of $ 14 (it’s not clear whether it’s a set or a piece) according to the catalog number.

Also on the forums I found the name of the bolt.
I'll share it here, maybe someone will throw a search engine) - din912 m6x60. With this information, I went to the market and purchased 6 pieces. Asking price $2.

As is known from past records, the original lockers (fenders) of the front fenders were purchased.

And the thing is that these wheel arch liners fit perfectly in the stock fenders and bumper and did not fit perfectly under the AMG bumper, since the bumper itself, wider than the stock and fender liner, is equipped with AMG technology spacers. Accordingly, during installation, a small gap is possible between the locker and the edge of the bumper. Some solved this issue by building up the edge of the fiberglass locker, but I went the other way.

And I used a sealing gum from the engine compartment, cutting it in places. It turned out quite interesting.

Under the hood went stickers AMG and Brabus replica.

Replica AMG door pillar.

There are a couple of original stickers on the plastic of the trunk.

Previously, there were two parallel alarms:
— standard: activated with the key, it was possible to close the sunroof and windows by holding the key;
- abnormal: from the alarm remote control, the car was only locked and armed.

Now, when the external alarm is turned on, the standard alarm also turns on. Accordingly, the indicator in the standard control button also lights up. Plus, now you don’t need to close the hatch and door windows with handles before leaving the car; just press the button to close the emergency alarm doors.

Hi all. I had a problem with the odometer. More precisely, with a daily mileage counter. When it is reset, the counter does not spin and clicks are heard. Kilometers continue to turn well.

Have you taken it apart and inspected the teeth on the plastic gears?

The problem, I think, is with the white gear.

can I replace it with the European version?

I disassemble the speedometer and fix it in disassembled form - but the speedometer works properly. but after resetting the daily mileage it stops working again. and so on every time

Hi all. I had a problem with the odometer. More precisely, with a daily mileage counter. When it is reset, the counter does not spin and clicks are heard. Kilometers continue to turn well.
I wish I saw this post sooner - I had multiple odometer problems with my 1987 300D. I have a similar setup, there the spinning cable gets plugged in the back (not electronic).

My odometer has been broken two times before I got the car. First time, it made it to 315,115 miles. Then a new cluster was put in which went from 135,000 miles to 205,651 miles. I had a person repair the odometer not working and I believe this was a gear inside the metal part of the housing. I have not looked in here before. Maybe it was the worm gear on the side.

When it was sent back to me, the odometer worked but the trip portion did not. The root cause was the assembly that has the numbers with the push bar for resetting the trip. The spring wasn't enough tension to push it- and there was a plastic part broken. This happens when someone is pushing reset while the car is moving 🙁 I captured some notes about this here:

I had to get a new plastic- I got one from a much newer and lower mileage car. I had to take the needle off and then matched the miles, etc and swapped the plastic bit. I got a local shop then to calibrate the needle and now I'm in business 😁 I captured some information in a video here:

I think you may need to do the same, except with ones which have kilometers. Good luck!

Thank god for my grandfather teaches me this method. By always reset when the car is still or it gets trouble. Especially when refueling. This habit stuck with me even with newer cars.

I'm not entirely convinced that resetting the trip odo while the car is in motion can actually break parts. Years ago I looked into this and could see any way pressing the reset could cause damage, if the car was in motion vs stopped. However, I may have been looking at an electronic speedo (034/036) instead of mechanical... not sure if there is a difference between the two designs, for the trip odo. Probably a good topic for a separate thread...

@Klink, you have any input on this "reset-in-motion-breaks-things" debate?
