Wire tip-end name/type/model for connector at factory amplifier

Does anyone know the name/type/size as to what this metal ending tip called? It's used by wires that nest into a plastic plug which plugs into factory amplifier... I've got one wire that has this tip broken, and would to replace it because it wont stay in its nest. NAPA and Autozone are of no help. Looks like employees can't wait for Amazon to shut their business down, so they could go home

They are pins and can be purchased from MB. There is a thread with the P/N here, search 34 pin connector. If I find the number I will post it if isn't handled by time I get back to it.

The diagnostic plug part number 140 545 00 26 is still available new from MB.

The pins are part number 003 545 48 26 you'll need 14 of the pins (taken from another post)

Admin edit - Photos in this thread:

Hang on... kiev's photo shows a 4mm (or 2.5mm?) female pin bushing. The 38-pin diagnostic connector uses tiny 1mm female pin bushings. Different stuff!

Let me see if I can find the part number for what kiev shows in his picture.

I can't find that specific item in the EPC. It doesn't show pin bushings at the amps on the audio harness. The same pin bushing may be used elsewhere that is shown in the EPC, but I don't know where to look.

Easiest source would be a junkyard, and grab a bunch from a car being parted out.

I looked this up a few weeks ago and I saved the following:

Pin Bushing Housing - A075452528
Round pin bushings - 2.5mm - 003.545.26.26
  • mates to 124.066 - folding top control unit (left ‘x’)
  • mates to 129.068 (sl500) - somewhere under the dash
  • mates to 210.265 (e320) - somewhere under the dash
  • round pin bushings - 2.5mm - 003.545.26.26
I'd be :shocking:if I'm finding stuff that the gsxr doesn't have handy! :-)

Based on Google photos, 003.545.26.26 is slightly different... note it is shorter, and doesn't have the collar in the center. :(

That's fair --- thought I could have sworn when I measured the pin bushings in the factory amp wiring harness that I got 2.5mm and not 4.0mm. @kiev , what is the measurement of the pin bushing you are trying to get?

Jlaa, I think you are correct about the diameter... it is probably ~2.5mm or so. I was originally thinking of the larger bushings used mostly in the engine compartment which are similar, but not identical. I need to check my parts bin at home and see if I happen to have any of kiev's pin bushing attached to a part number - if not, sourcing a used one is going to be the easiest fix. Some of this stuff is really hard to locate in the EPC if it's not where it belongs!

These are the pins that go into a plug, which plugs into factory amplifiers...

@kiev - I have spares! Give me a few days to verify proper operation of my system and then I will post you the parts you seek - gratis. Please private conversation me your address.
