Is there anything off the shelf/recipe one can recommend (similar to CLR Calcium Remover)?

I have a spare viso fan blades, that while solid with no damage, but came from a car that's been seating for a while, blades have a lot of oxidation... I can certainly use "elbow grease" with brillo pads, but hoping for a product that I can just poor into a small tub, submerge the blades and let them soak, and let the solution do the job?

Regards,
D

@Duh_Vinci, D, check out Search “Clean Fan Blades” it will bring up jlaa’s super clean fan which he did with soap and elbow grease.

Looks like no easy way:runexe:

Cheers Terry!

I tried to do a search, but nothing comes up, other than this "wanted thread" WANTED - Fan Blade (119-205-00-6) | Parts for Sale

I kinda figured, elbow grease, and a polishing attachment for a final touches... I guess after seeing some TV commercials where the pots/pans just being submerged into the tub of solution (from what I remember) just got them sooooo clean. I know better, if it looks too good to be true it is NOT!!!

There are quite few hits on Amazon, but all seem to be just a basic cleaner at the end... Can't blame me for wanting the "easy ride" on this one :peep:

Brilo pads, vinegar and simple green (when it gets a little cooler) it is...

Regards,
D

Perhaps media blasting with something really light (walnut shells?) would work as well.

I haven't graduated to the media blasting equipment yet, otherwise, mild walnuts would indeed do wonders on these blades. But for this guy, looks like as @Jlaa , manual labor in the future I see for those blades!!!
