In order to gain the added horse power, does the 1992 LH module have to be from a 1992 500e, or can it be from a 1992 400e? What would be part number? Thanks

I imagine these are expensive and hard to come by?
Sounds like GSXR's LH module stimlated your Butt Dyno (TM)I think it adds a tiny bit more torque when you punch it.
Yes, this was used in the W140 chassis.400Eric, I don't see 014 545 18 32 on Gerry's provided list? Is 014 545 18 32 a WOT enriched LH module or not?
Thanks.
Yes. And they are usually cheap compared to the "genuine 500E" ones.So is it now a general consensus that 92 W140 5.0 ECUs, including but not limited to the 014 545 18 32 ECU is/are suitable substitutes for an 036 owner seeking a WOT enrichment ECU?
014-545-62-32 does not have WOT enrichment. Sorry.I bought this one from a forum member, for my E420. I received unit dated 92m09 with number 014 545 62 32. Was promised a WOT unit and the pic in the ad is a 91 model. I don't care as long as the one I got is a WOT unit. Can anyone with knowledge confirm?
Agreed. Maybe he sent the wrong one, and can replace it with the correct module...Thanks for clarification, as I suspected. I've contacted the seller, hopefully it's just a mistake and will be corrected. Since the seller is on this forum I don't believe he's trying to scam me.

It's been six days. If he doesn't have the ability to provide you another correct one with WOT enrichment, then he should at the very least provide you with the option of either giving you your money back or giving you something else of equal or greater value that you need/want.
If he doesn't do right by you in a timely manner, you'd be doing the rest of us a favor by exposing him. At the very least he should respond to your communiques in a timely manner while he tries to correct/rectify the situation. I'll give a person all the time in the world as long as they stay in touch with me.
Dave, you once told me (a long time ago) that you suspected that the older ECUs that start with a 012 prefix might be better for hopped up engines, but I can't remember exactly why you held that view. Do you still hold that view? I've been holding on to a couple of 012 ECUs even though one didn't show me any power gain on the chassis dyno over a 014 545 15 32 ECU because I still believe that they may hold more potential for a more radically modded engine. Do you have any new news on this topic?
Regards,
Eric
I'll keep you posted, I need to start hooning!! (thanks for that word dear board) ASAP, and to get the ladies wetter than E L James does, I need those extra ponies.
Stay away from anything that came after 014 545 17 32 on that list. They don't have WOT enrichment.
Not, it is not. Any number with 015-, 016-, 017- prefix does not have WOT enrichment.I didn't see part number 017 545 44 32 on the list. Is this one WOT enriched?
Ah, got it. This would only work if it was a 1993-95 R129 SL60 with LH injection. It would be similar to using a 5.0 LH module on a 4.2L engine. Although the car will run and drive with the "wrong" module, there is no advantage, no power gain, etc. The module needs to match engine displacement. What I was thinking of was an R129 SL60, V8.
Nope ... totally different animal. An M120 is pretty much two complete M104s joined at the crankshaft.Gerry, just as you would not put a 400 series LH module in a 500e, would you not put a module from a 600 series into a 500e?
I don't think you'll get any benefit whatsoever. Talk to Bondavi, he's the 6.0 LH guru around these parts.I was talking about the M119 SL60 AMG V8.

Bondavi, is it true that cascade is the co-owner of your RENNtech 400E?Or Cascade/JimB, but I'm not sure he's on this board.
I think he's the co owner of Bondavi's car and by his many many postings it appears he's the M and M (mechanical maestro) when it comes to pretty much any and everything Mercedes and 124 specifically.
Kind Regards,
Ron
Dyno graphs are here. Power gains were the same with 250-300kkm, which is expected unless there are serious mechanical issues with your engine...Is the WOT enrichment module really doing wonders on a later w124.036 or is it a pure 6 hp difference
that could be engulfed of a more worn engine?
My 185000 km engine in my -95 is quite agile but i have not have a immediate comparison of a car of a earlyer year.
