I was talking to the owner of Socal Carbon (I think that is the name), it's a guy that makes fiber galss 500e fenders. He said you can covert e420 to e500 headlights.

Is that possible? Who here knows how to do that?

Well, sort of. You can swap the lenses, but there are other subtle differences between the two, like the shrouds over the bulbs. Given the high cost of E500 lenses (not available in USA), it really isn't worth the effort... sell the E420 lights for a few bucks and buy new E500 lights (either US or Euro). About $600/pair brand new.

Speaking of Albert, tell him to get back on the forum! I still need to bug him about my ducktail that he has... sigh...

I was recently reading the threads on how to make US spec 500E headlights using 300E or 400E head lights.

Does the same exact concept apply to making US spec E500 headlights?

A while back I aquired 2 brand new sets of E500 lenses. I don't have E500 assemblies. I am hoping the procedure to make a set of E500 headlight is parallel to that of making US spec 500E headlights.
