HOW-TO: make "service reminder" stickers

This is something I did a couple weeks ago and decided that it would be a good idea to share it with everyone here in the forum. Like many of you, I do my own maintenance and when I buy the oil and filter most of the times I don't get a service reminder sticker.

It isn's a big deal because I am always on top of maintenance and I am aware when I have to change the oil. However, it is nice to have a sticker, especially in our cars that don't have a digital cluster. On top of that, is it is nicer if the sticker looks "original"; thats why I decided to make my own sticker and share it with y'all.

I am not a designer but I tried my best. I used powerpoint for this. I used the original MB font (Corporate AB Q) (see attached) and after seeing a couple generic designs, I came up with 3 designs but ended up just using the one at the far right.

Below the logo, where I put "Taller JMPanty..." you can put the name of your shop, garage, or basically whatever you want. Im also attaching the powerpoint with the designs so that anyone can use it, modify it, make it better, etc. I only added date, mileage, and oil grade but I have seen other stickers that have other options.

After having the design I wanted and measuring other stickers I had, I decided that the best size for me was going to be 5.04cm width x 8.38cm height. I went to a digital printing store nearby where they make stickers and gave them the powerpoint presentation. Told the guy the measurements and which design I wanted and because of the high quality logos, he had no problem with distortion. The sticker was made of gloss vinyl make it easy to write on and removed when needed.

$36 and 24 hrs later, the store had 150 stickers for me and the result was great! I hope this is helpful and feel free to ask if you have any doubts.

That's great- thank you very much for sharing. They look very good!

Looks good. Thanks for sharing !

I just use the generic ones I got years ago off of eBay. I got a huge amount of them for very cheap, and have probably used perhaps 10% of what I received, for four cars !!

I used to ask my indy for a bunch whenever I had one of my cars in for service. They were happy to give them to me each time. Like GVZ, I think I'm maybe a quarter of the way through the stacks of reminder stickers I received. They aren't as nice as those made be the thread owner, but they work for me.
