Exactly, that is the new quality level! My observation is all parts manufactured after the pandemic are crap. It doesn’t matter if they are OE or aftermarket. Quality has taken a real hit. Denso radiators and alternators failing and other techs reporting factory parts bad right out of the box. It’s really frustrating. Now I look at the suppliers warranty whenever I purchase so when it fail shortly after replacing it’s still hopefully covered.
99% of it is made in China at a fraction of the cost compared to the good quality suppliers - and even they are now using the China garbage in their supply chain. The excuses in the parts business is to obtain a survivable cost level, but that's nothing but an anemic lie. Has anyone seen reduced prices on OE parts due to lower production cost? No, the price level is maintained and we, the consumers, pays the final price whatever it is. China can make top quality if you are willing to pay for it, but their low cost production giving extreme margins are irresistible for the greedy overhead in the parts business. Where is the moral? Where is the branding loyality? What does OE quality means? The business simply don't care, it's all about filling too deep pockets.
I just go on repeating myself - why do people buy all kind of China made garbage they don't need, sold on Amazon and the like??
By doing that you support China and make it even worse.
