need metal oilers for m119

Theoretically based on a mechanical point of view will a number of variable factors play in like engine running conditions, running hours (not mileage), which means it's impossible to estimate any lifetime on these oiltubes. My impression is that they are quite durable, but some may start failing randomly after say a 10 years time. I have never seen anyone having all 16 oiltubes failing within a certain period of time after the first one failed.

I replaced mine with probably 115,000 miles on my car, and all were operating just fine. Generally when we have seen them fail, it has ONLY been one or two of the plastic tubes at one time.

The end popped off one of my 97 SL500’s plastic oilers at about 105k miles. It had been (unusually) left out overnight in just sub-zero (C) conditions, so whether it was the viscosity of the cold oil that was too much for the old plastic or whatever I don’t know, but the noise was very evident on that cold start up.
