11x + 1 for me in first batch brings it to 12. If anyone else is on the fence and wants a set speak now and ill see if I can extend 1st batch numbers by 1 or 2 more sets.
If anyone tagged above is no longer interested due to the passage of time that is no problem at all but do please let me know here or by PM!
There is now a poll on this thread for preffered zinc colour of the new tools. The factory MB m119 crank lock tool is silver zinc but happy to go with silver or yellow zinc depending on which gets the most votes, so please vote in poll now! (A couple weeks away from plating stage but I would like to start ordering in the hardware)
No problem at all, thanks for letting me know!Sorry, just come to this post a bit late. Can't quite remember why I would have expressed interest in one of these tools! Must have had a senior moment! So please exclude me from any potential purchase. With apologies.
That's a good question, my bother has an ex African embassy S500 but its been about 20 years since I worked on it so I dont recall the bellhousing pattern. Will this will fit the M117 as well, at least the factory tool does...?
I checked and have access to an m117 V8 so I could look at that too but after these 12x get done and away to those who have waited this long! Will this will fit the M117 as well, at least the factory tool does...?
Correct. All OM60x diesel engines, and M103/M104, use a different lock tool: 601-589-02-40-00 (also around $280 for OE... ouch!)The M104 uses a different lock tool. I acquired one for the work I am doing currently on my G320. I believe this M104 tool also may be used in common with certain diesel models, as well as the M103.

The stock tool is curved outward away from the flywheel so the teeth dont all fully engageJust a comment/question:
The stock tool grips over 5 teeth on the flywheel, while your tool grips over 3 teeth. Is that calculated or considered satisfactory?
I assume it is no hardening of the tool, which would have driven the price considerably up.
No problem, all of these ones in the first production run are already spoken for unless someone drops out. There have also been a few other members asked me for more so the good news is I will do a second production run later this year.Balls! I never got back on this. If you have a spare, PM me the instructions to purchase via PM.
You can get mine for $5000...OK, PM me when a spare comes up from unclaimed requests or new run lot.
