I've been trying to get this project going for well over 10 years now. Luckily with my current job I've had a wonderful opportunity to better my skills and do something for myself. After many hours and thousands and thousands of $$$$ I got the project started. It's still in rough shape' but after a few months of surfacing it'll look a lot better. I still need to make all the trim pieces and see which direction I'll be going with this. It's going to be a LONG term project; based on time and $$$$. So I'll try to keep updating here as often as I can.

P.s. The car is roughly 46 inches long. Basically one fourth the size of the actual car.

Cool stuff!
If you decide to make a pre-facelift model i´d like to buy it.

i dont have have any plans to at this point, but I'll definitely let you know. And based on the amount of $$$ going into this project I highly doubt anyone would buy one. But I'll keep you posted.

kind regards,
Albert S.

Thank you. Currently I dont know how detailed it'll be. I haven't gotten a quote to do the interior pieces yet but I can imagine once modeled and 3d printed ill be in the $3K range. The wheel im currently having them do the stock 8hole wheels. Still debating if I should have them machined out of aluminum or 3d printed, then sylicone mold, then fast cast them. As for color, im making one stock gray like my 500 and a yellow one down the line like my banana 😆

If people are intrested in it then I would give the option of exterior color and wheel of their choice.

Kind regards,
Albert S.

Albert:
I of course would not be interested but I have no doubt my wife Joanna would.
I suppose if it were in Malachite/Mushroom with AMG-OZ 3 piece wheels it would help, but stock 8 Holes would be fine too.

Ron - on somewhat borrowed time....

Had a few mins to do some block sanding on the body. So much more work😕

Very Nice... You sould start with molds to make this a serial project. Maybe prices can come down in the 1000$ range if some people would buy and i bet there are some freaks out there, even me would consider it...

Unfortunately at $1000 wouldn't get close to what I've spent. Just the 3d work and programing was well over $2500. Not including the mill time and the high density foam board. Again. This is more of my personal project that I'm not trying to finish ASAP. I did this to take my time and get all the details over the years to come. If i tried to finish this within one year it would cost me well over $50k so I'm taking my time on it.

What i mean is, lets say 20 people would buy one for 1000$, thats 20.000$. If you can make it so that it can be reproduced etc...

I understand that. Lets say you invest $20-$30k into this like i will be doing most likely (probably a lot higher) and you put years and years of labor into it. Would it be worth it to make a mold and sell it for $1000? I have 1:18 scale models that are worth in that price range that aren't even as rare. An AutoArt 1:18 scale E500 goes for around $350 or so. Just saying. But i do understand your point.

Kind regards,
Albert S.
