Sway bars Group buy

Hi everyone!

From the first day I have wanted performance sway bars for my car, but AMG, Renntech and Fiend sway bars are NLA now, so I have decided to go on my way.

As I was taking part in many racing events on my highly modified subaru sti, I estabished contacts with many companies that produce performance parts.

So I placed an order for:

1 - 25 pieces of 30mm front sway bars, with poly bushings
2 - 25 pieces of 21mm rear way bars with poly bushings and everything you need to install with SLS suspension.
3 - 25 sets of reinforced front sway bar mounts. They will suite both - 28 and 30 mm front sway bar. The only difference is poly bushing.

I have sent OEM sway bars and waiting for performance parts back in -6 weeks.

The estimate price will be available soon, they will be a little more than average performance sway bar, but still a lot cheaper than NOS AMG.

They will be produced by a big and well known company that specialises in suspension parts for track and street cars.

If you are interested in a set, please, write here.
Shipping all over the world on your expenses.

I hope I will get them from production till the beginning of June so I will be able to bring some sets to E500E meeting in Nurburgring.

Feel free to ask any questions!

they will be made under my new trademark - 036CREED
other performance products for 124.036 will follow!

Set:
1. 500AMM
2. Boxersix
3. nbvcxw8000

Front:
1. Glen

Rear:
1. Jnes
2. Rouven036

Re: Sway bars Group buy.

How expensive are the front swaybars???
The price will be around 500 USD, incuding reinforced say bar mounts and bushings.
You can buy sepparate, but these mount often brake even with the stock bar

Re: Sway bars Group buy.

I'm not in a position to buy any... but just curious, can people use OE bushings (with the Teflon inner liner) if desired?

Also - will the ends of the front bar be 30mm, or turned down to 22mm like the factory / AMG / RENNtech front bars?

You can use OE 30mm bushings in the centre, but not with reinforced mounts, as they use D shape bushings.
And this bushing in complect will also be with teflon, not cheap poly bushings that produce a lot of noise.

Front sway bar will be 22mm on both ends like OEM Bars. The design is similar to Renntech, but 2mm narrower.

I am also curious if you are working with a template from an existing MB swaybar? Taking it one step further than Dave in the post above, would this be identical to the ones offered for these cars or would they be compatible interpretations (i.e. the fit is perfect but the bends and the thicknesses are different/unique to the AMG/Renntech swaybars?

This is great, Alex! :thumbsup2:

I am in for a complete set of front + rear + mounting brackets. Preferably in black, but depending on that grey colour. If it's dark I may change my mind, would be nice if you could post a colour sample.

Does the shape on the front swaybar be as the E60 AMG?
(I'm not fan of the RENNtech style with machined ends instead of tapered ends)

As for the design and shape - they will make a pre production set based on scanning OEm bars and pictures of Renntech AMG bars.
The producer of the bars in known worldwide and is really trusted. They will suggest their design and I am not able able to describe it 100% exact unless I get a preproduction set.

When it will be in my hand I will post you pics and tell some words about this company!

Great news Alex!

I've been looking for rear sway bar upgrade since I got front AMG sway bar..

I'm interested in complete rear sway bar kit with bushings and reinforced front sway bar mounts. Do you know what they would cost?

Is it possible to buy bushings (front) separately from you?

Regards,

Joonas

Yes, it will be possible to buy separate rear sway bar and front mount, also bushings will be avilable separate any time. I have bushings in stock right now.
Exact price and shiping price will be available with the pre production set, estimate for comolete set with everythng included will be around 900 usd. (front+rear+bushings+front bracket+all hardware)

I am interest in a full set.

I am currently negotiation the price for a new OEM E60 front sway bar (never installed) but the price is high. I was also considering reproducing it if I do buy it as they are so hard to come by.

Keep us posted ;)

To my mind these e60 japan swaybars are modern replicas with fake stickers. They are restocking them often and this seems strange.
But this is only my opinion)

Alex, you are probably referring to the E60 AMG swaybars in post #163 and #164 in this thread?
http://www.500eboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5726
If so, they are made on order by Eibach for Mercedes-Benz AMG. I contacted Eibach but they couldn't tell much due to sales policy, but their last order was completed back in 2015 and they didn't have any further info about AMG's inventory per date.

As for the E60 swaybars sold by http://www.4-leaves.com/ shown in the enclosed thread, I happened to score the last one of the 3 left. Next I asked the seller for a possible VAT refund on export from Japan, but he wasn't famailiar with such and asked me to explain. I did, but VAT refunds was totally unknown to him, and 3 days later he cancelled my purchase and returned my money!! It was a lot of requests for that last swaybar, so I am pretty sure he got another luxurious offer he couldn't resist and resold it. I was tempted to give him the full a..hole description, but "so ist das leben - shit happens" and the life is too short to burn bridges IMO.

Thank you for this information. The sway bars origin is japan

Hmm,
At first, Arnt sad to hear that seller cancelled your purchase.

I was that who started this hassle with this AMG swaybars. Sorry for that.

But now I'm bit confused that are all these Japan swaybars sold by 4leaves.com really a fake s*it with AMG/Eibach logos with high price?
Actually I did not find any Mercedes sparepart stickers and swaybar were packed in normal box without any markings from the Mercedes and that was a bit odd.

It has to be very careful in these days when purchasing old AMG stuff, it can be fake stuff.

Here is a photo of mine.

And for Alex, sorry for the OT.

Joonas

No offence at all, Joonas, you shared the info and that is always greatly welcomed. :)

As explained in my post are those swaybars a reproduction by Eibach on order from MB/AMG, which means they should be identical with the original E60 AMG swaybar.

Now, that I was screwed for one of them was pity of course, but the most annoying thing is the way it was done by the seller in Japan. But I cannot do anything about that, so I better spend energy on other things and look ahead. The initiative taken by Alex here is a promising alternative IMO.

Probably interested in front bar.. like to see some pics and then compare to original.
I have the rear fiend bar.
Thanks.

I'm interested-

Just don't understand the details. Is the beefier front swaybar bracket just a bigger gauge? I'd rather not push the cracking issue from my bracket into repairing the frame rail which show my welding skills.
Pics would be awesome...

So, we are now arguing about front bar design.
They say it is better to make it 30mm without reducing to 22mm at the ends and make custom bushings.
This will make bar stiffer, but in my opinion this will cause custom bushing to get worn quickly as very little thickness will be left,

any thoughts which way to choose?

First rear bar is in its way to me

I agree with you. Plus, I have a Feind 21mm rear sway bar already and feel that the balance is close to ideal. In other words, the front sway bar doesn't need to be too much stiffer than stock to balance the car.

They don't want to bother machining the ends down to 22mm. But leaving them at 30mm will cause problems, and you could not use the OE bushings with 30mm ends.

I'm not buying a bar, but if I were, I'd absolutely insist on the 22mm ends. 30mm diameter is fine for the rest of the bar (same as E60 AMG bar).

See attached photo of how it should look.

On the other forum, there was a group buy for W126 rear sway bars. It might be worth your while to see where they were made and contact that firm. Maybe they will mix and match since there are others still wanting some for the W126

I was being nice. I simply seek knowledge in far and wide places. I enjoy your write ups and they have saved me countless hours. Thanks for taking the time to do them. You were one of those I had hoped would do the aggregate how to do

I created the 126 forum and the HOW-TOS as a response to getting ~BANNED~ by that forum back in the 2010 time frame. I got banned because I deleted all of my posts, including HOW-TOS, after certain members there didn’t like/agree with how I did things (the right way). I called out the moderators for not doing their jobs and curbing the bad behavior, and they sided with the bad actors, instead of siding with someone who actually added value and good information.

Ever since then, I’ve had a constant and growing influx of people from that forum’s 126 sub-forum, and I will be honest and say that I do not like nor trust most of these people here on my forum.

My view is very simple: people who like to hang out and contribute there, don’t need to be here. People can and should be judged by who they associate with and where they spend their time.

That forum has banned or shunned dozens of the most knowledgeable and best contributors, yet allow bad actors to flourish there. I’m talking about people like McClare, Wilson1010, GreenT and others. Just not good people. Many of the best and most active people here on this forum have quit contributing at Benzworld of their own volition because they saw how poor the quality of both individuals and information is at “that forum.”

That of which we do not speak of..

Ok was not aware of the history. Just wanted to help. I hate to reinvent the wheel when someone has made it already.

Simply reproduce the E60 existing sway bar; nothing to invent!
