As you know i do small batches of 10 at a time unless there is more demand, i try not to stock a lot of these exhausts because material cost, production and lack of shelf space. Pre-Orders works best for me and i usually make 1-2 extras on every order.

Not included. Because the test pipe is converted to catalytic converters.

Got it. So if someone wanted a front pipe with the ability to use cats on the street, and switch to test pipe on the track, it would be $2320 total ($1680 + $640), correct?

My Raw material supplier is way behind due to lack of manpower thanks to that bug thats been circulating. My new ETA for materials to arrive is Second week of February.

Right now my order for materials:
10 rear turndown cat back sections
5 front manifold sections

These are made to order i do not have you on the list for 1B kit. there is still time for me to adjust my material order as they have not bent any pipes for the Front Section 1A or 1B as of 2-1-2021

Dang I can't believe I just saw this again, haven't been on the forums enough. Any 1A availability?
Also do the cats make a huge difference with sound? I don't want mine to be too loud or have any drone but I don't need to smog my car and don't want to give up some extra horsepower if the difference in sound is negligible?

Thank you guys i have your orders... I would consider Front sections to be sold out as i only ordered material enough to make 5 units.

E420/400E rear section?

the E420/400E is not that simple to do due to rear valance variations. the 500E muffler will fit but the issue is tip location. I will need to get a E420 make a muffler just for that and one specific to the 400E.

If there are 5 or more E420 guys hopefully one being local to Huntington Beach CA i am willing to do a small run

The .034 rear tips sit a couple inches higher, due to the standard rear bumper. Otherwise, cat-back should be identical. Might just need to adjust the outlet pipe location slightly...

it's not that simple...

In order to make a correct fitting mufflers a new Endcap needs to be made, the tips which have 5 compound bends per tip (oe design turn down) will require a new jig and possible bend punch cards.

send me an image of the rear bumper we did a fitment on a Gen 2 AMG W124 e320.

If the bumper is the same then i have the measurements which means i will refund your deposit because we are doing a run for the W124/M104 cars.

i can make a one off rear section for your application.

I have an RX8, cant really stay parked with windows down for a long time due to the smell. I do pre-mix, however.

Sulfur smell is due to a catalyst that is no longer efficient in converting the gasses. The surfer is a result of Hydrogen Sulfied not being converted properly.

Causes for this would be fuel type (Premix will cause this) or failing catalytic converter which would need to be replaced.

The cats i supply do not have this issue because it’s a Heavy Metal TWC catalyst for OBD1 cars. Most of the OBD2 catalysts which are not TWC and not Heavy metal catalysts are more likely to have the sulfur smell which again is a failing catalysts.

running a few days behind schedule... right now it looks like welding will finish end of this week and we begin packing monday/tuesday next week. Boxes have been ordered ETA on delivery is This friday.

FYI catalytic converter prices have gone up 15% you can thank the EPA for this. I ordered catalysts last year for the 500E project so there is no price change. But moving forward catalytic converters will have a slight increase.

I believe this price hike was applied to every company that makes catalysts for any industry.

Here in the houston area, catalytic converters seem the be the meth-head unit of choice for feeding. Seems the uhaul places now have armed guards protecting their fleets after a rash of sawzall thefts. Car lots are also under the watch as multiple thefts are up and $25 recycle fees are being paid out for the cats...

I think they are able to sell it as raw material. Much like they do with gold on circuit boards there are people who reclaim it for the amount of material they can get and then monetize.
