About the modulator: I replaced with a friend the modulator of his car. (W124 300E). We only replaced it and did not have to adjust it afterward. The trans shifted perfect. It should be on the right pressure from factory. Or: maybe we were lucky? But the problem with the transmission (slip) was gone.
I know the procedure says it has to be adjusted with a gauge, though.

Edit: I see now you were not lucky, so check the video.

This video was also very helpful:

Adjust the modulator by trial & error. Clockwise is firmer. Try 1.0 turns at a time for coarse adjustment, and down to ~1/4 turn for fine adjustment.

In general you want it just firm enough that there is *zero* slip or flare, hot or cold, at part throttle or full throttle (including WOT, 6000rpm upshifts). You can go firmer if desired but that may result in annoyingly-firm part-throttle upshifts.

Hi
Thanks
I have tried to turn counterclockwise but it's not easy to turn round its very hard and the T pin is lite bend

You have the modulator shown below, and have pried off the plastic cap, correct? The T-pin should rotate fairly easily.

Search for 600eric and his car on this forum. He put these on his car

These wheels look cool, but since you got an original Limited, I’d cherish these Evo wheels as one of the things that make your car an original Limited

Those wheels are fantastic. I agree that Evo wheels in high polish finish are original to your car, but those 2pc AMG r129 wheels look great. In my opinion, those wheels (and nice photography) explain why this car, a “regular” E500 in smoke silver, sold for 50K USD (an unusually high price) last year.

Cleans up really nice, super clean underneath - well done! I spotted your oil pan has taken a hit at some point as it seems dented, the coolant overflow hose is missing and the drivers side headlight clip is missing. Tow eye hook is also missing but they can be bought from MB (in primer) - I had to buy a new one for mine as the old one wouldn't clip in properly, same for the underhood insulation. You can really see the front AMG shocks now they've been cleaned, great work. I would love to detail the underside of my E500 too.

Thanks Bilal
It will be fine slowly when I spend the time to repair and cleaning
I have made a list of parts I will order from Mercedes local or Germany

I have read out faults codes
After deleting these are coming back
What is causing the problem?

Pin 7 8 blink?????
Pin 16 30 blink????
Pin 30. 6 blink. It's Aux pump
Pin 23. 15 blink?????

Pin 7 (E-GAS), 8 blink = Left front axle vehicle speed signal (L6/1) from ABS/ASR control module (N30/1).

If you have an "ASR Off" button, sometimes this code appears when ASR is switched off. I have the same code appear on my cars sometimes, but the car runs & drives normally. If you don't have any other symptoms, I would ignore it.

Pin 16 (HVAC), # 30 is Aux pump.

Pin 30 (SRS) # 6 is Right front seat belt buckle switch (S68/4).

Pin 23 is for the late alarm system, we don't have that on USA models.

Can I used mb star 4 on my car
This is the spec

Multiplexer Diagnostic-Tool: MB STAR SD-connct C4 with both Ethernet cable and WIFI
OBDII 16PIN cable
38PIN cable
14PIN cable
4PIN cable
Lan cable (TP)
Laptop: Powerful Lenovo ThinkPad X220i pro series with i3 processor 2.4 GHz, 8GB ram and 500 GB SSHD disk with powerful battery in about 3 hours.
With the latest version of the XENTRY / DAS installer 2020.06 with windows 10 PRO 64bit

Thanks to Lowman for the parts duovalve and Aux pump
I changed it and the leak is gone and everything looks fine

I believe only the driver's side of the dashboard had the special speaker with a dual-voice coil that was used together with the mobular telephone system.

I am not 100% sure what the non-US phone looked like that went in the E500E, but seeing as I am the only person here on the forum who knows how to use the "search" function, here are a few threads that contain photos of & info on the factory mobular phones that may be helpful:

Yeah the search function here is super fantastic!

Yeah the search function here is super fantastic!
I am thinking of creating a 15-minute search tutorial class of exercises and a final exam that ALL members must pass in order to post any new threads. Sort of like a driver's test where you have to execute a parallel park to a decent standard.

I will be re-instating the "typeahead" function in search in the near future. This presents search results like Google does, where threads are presented/suggested as you type in characters in the search box. The developer has been working on an update to this for the past couple of months (it's complex stuff) for the new 2.2 version of XenForo, and it's going into beta very soon.

Today I received some parts for the car

Are you sanding it down to bare metal?
I know most would say if the base paint is fine just paint over it, but these cars are rusting in point from inside out, even areas where there is no paint damage.
